Calling all former Erie Estate residents
The trees we planted on the nature reserve at the end of last year to create Erie Wood are all doing well. We had hoped to have an inauguration party during the summer but due to Covid-19 restrictions, this has now been postponed till Spring 2022. In the meantime, we’d like to invite anyone who lived in the huts on the Erie Estate to claim a tree for their family. We have numbered metal discs to fix on the post by each tree with the number of hut where they lived. After former Erie Estate residents have had first pick, remaining trees can be adopted by local families. In addition, we’d like to give each family some spring bulbs to plant around their tree.
Choosing Your Tree
- Contact us by email, telephone or through Facebook so we can arrange to meet up on site to choose the tree.
- If you are unable to visit in person, we can send you a list of varieties of trees and the plan by email or you can view them on the website and ring us. At the moment, the numbers on the list and the plan have been designated randomly, but you can use these numbers to identify the tree you would like and we will change it to your hut number.
