Monty Protection Fund

Our recent news that our bear, Montgomery of Erie Wood, has been stolen from the nature reserve upset the whole community. He is sadly missed by people of ages, and one young person commented that there is now an emptiness on the nature reserve without him.

Despite everyone’s efforts, we have been unable to find him. We intend to buy a replacement bear, but unfortunately the insurance money does not cover the cost of having extra robust fixings and filling him with concrete so he can’t be carried away!

We are, therefore, trying to raise some extra funds to cover this and protect the new Monty. Any contributions will be appreciated by everyone who values the nature reserve as a unique community green space.
