What to bring:

 We will provide:

 What we will be doing:

• Measuring out 1 metre square areas along Wildflower Way (this is the long path next to the field).
• Scattering a pre-measured amount of seed and sand evenly across the marked off square.
• Lightly raking over and treading in to press the seeds into the soil.
• Some may like to help with planting out primroses and/or bulbs and we have a few pairs of gloves and trowels for this purpose.

Please take care:

• All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults are responsible for their own children at all times whilst on the site.
• Some plants are poisonous – please make sure children don’t eat the seeds/plants & wash hands before eating food.
• The site has been used for flytipping and historically it was a tip. If you come across hazardous waste, please don’t touch it or try to move it. Tell one of the Trustees.
• Site is uneven – and we will be marking it out with tape and sticks – so mind where you step.
• Please don’t bring valuables on site, we cannot be responsible for theft/loss of your belongings.
• We are encouraging nature, so watch out for wildlife that could prick, bite, sting, etc and make sure you have appropriate medication if you know you have a severe reaction. Let one of the Trustees know if you need first aid assistance.
• If you get a cut or a graze or any other minor injury, please let one of the Trustees know, a first aid kit will be on site.
• We don’t know of a tick problem in the area, but make sure you check & seek help to remove them if you are bitten and ensure you go to your GP.
• There are not meant to be any kind of vehicles on the site on the date, however, some people have been riding motorbikes around the site. This is not allowed, but please be alert to this possibility and let a Trustee know.
• We don’t plan to be setting any fires on the day, so if you see a fire, keep well away, move to the playing field, let one of the Trustees know and if you have a phone on you call the fire service on 999.
• We will provide hand sanitiser – but there are no toilet or hand washing facilities on site.

We will be taking photographs for use in our publicity, if you don’t want to be in these ‘photos please tell a Trustee.
